You Made My Day!

Thank You

Several times I have received care packages, cards, and emails that have just made my day.  My time to go home is drawing near and I am forever grateful to those of you who have sent me well wishes and have kept up through My Paper Journey.

For those of you who think you do not have any creativity in you… guess what!?  You don't need ANY!  That's why there are sketches.  Then Stampin' Up! makes it easy with the Color Coach to help pick the colors!

Card Sketch

Today's sketch is brought to you by Freshly Made Sketches #106.

Thank YouThis was my first time using the Heat & Stick to make the Glitter stick.  I know now why some of my crafting friends don't like glitter… as soon as I took this picture… I spilt the glitter all over my desk… ugh!

Thank You

In about a week my Stampin' Up! supplies will be packed and shipped home.  I'm already in withdraw mode and I don't like it.  But I'm thinking… maybe it's time I should work on some My Digital Studio cards.  I was supposed to get into MDS when I arrived, but did not.  Maybe I can start practicing on my way home.  I dunno… we'll see. =)

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful Sunday.

  1. You’re welcome!

  2. Lovely card Maggie! I love that glitter butterfly! I have spilled powder many times and it is a nightmare to clean up! Love that pretty yellow background! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

  3. Oh Maggie this is lovely! And I love that extra sparkle!

  4. Bright and cheery card and I LOVE how you used the lace as the mat borders instead of cardstock! You are so brave to do the glitter. Ever since I started doing OWH cards (actually since 2007 when it was first called Cards for Heroes), I’ve avoided anything sparkly because it does tend to stick to everything (including me). Suggestions for your supply-less time – what about making up card kits where all you have to do is assemble or maybe color. If you’ve acetate available to you (or even discarded packaging), you could scribble marker colors onto the acetate and tuck that into your card kits, so then you could pick up the marker color with a blender pen (one pen vs many markers). Or maybe you’ve got a design for your Christmas cards that needs to be fussy cut – your 3 weeks would be the perfect time to just cut cut cut!

  5. Love your color choice Maggie. Your butterfly is gorgeous. The glitter is so worth the hassle tho’. I just did the single stamp Manger and star and wow they turned out nice. Then I did Christmas bulbs and snowflakes. I couldn’t stop; but, now have a good start to making my Christmas cards. I couldn’t imagine life without paper. Can you carry a small briefcase or satchel with some paper and a couple punches. I used to carry one every where I went especially to the hospital when my Mom was having chemo. We would talk and I would punch up a storm. I even punched ovals for feathers and would snip all the slits in them one after another after another. It kept me sane while others thought I was crazy. Just a thought. Happy Birthday month Girl!!!
