Stampin’ Up! An Engagement Ring

What’s the best thing about happiness?  Having a friend who makes cards and knowing she is going to send you a one-of-a-kind engagement card… LoL.  This one’s for you J-Mart!

This lovely card is one of a kind, but the sketch came from Pals Paper Arts 165 card challenge.

Are you still looking at those two rings wondering how I made them cross each other?  I know I heard some of you thinking that… LoL… it’s so easy, but it’s a little difficult for me to make a video here, so I took pictures… click HERE to get the directions.

Stampin’ Up! a Baby!

Baby1

Perfection!  Not just the card, but the baby that was born three weeks ago today.  My BFF was blessed with a little girl with ten little fingers and ten little toes.  A healthy baby girl with two older brothers and oodles of aunties and uncles that loved her before she arrived.  She’s cute as a button and I made this sweet pink card for her mommy.

Baby2

I added a touch of color using the  Itty Bitty scallop using Certain Celery and topped it off with the smallest of the rhinestones in the Basic Rhinestone pack.

The One in a Million stamp set has so many more sentiments you will have several options to choose from.  Expressing your feelings to someone special can sometimes be difficult, but this ten-piece set gives you lots of inspiration for doing just that.

One in a Million Again!

This card accidentally posted behind my back! LoL… I was updating my blog from my iPad and I somehow hit publish without knowing it.  I felt panic as I noticed it a couple minutes later after three people viewed it.  I started hitting buttons as fast as I could, I was shaking… like a leaf falling from it’s tree vine.

But I pulled it back and now here it is… once again weeks later.  Yes!  It’s a Connie Steward Flash Card… I just can’t stay away from her technique.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about take a look at it here.

Imagine this, the person who get this card will be my One in a Million (just like the stamp set).  Are you still reading because you want to know how I made the leaves?  Well, let me tell you… I used the leaves in the Language of Friendship.

I could hear you asking… but, how did you get just the leaves on the paper?  I used a the Stampin’ Write Wild Wasabi marker.  Yes, it was that easy… LoL.  Go on… try it, you know you want to.  The adorable button is from the Brights Designer Buttons collection.

You are One in a Million!

Every day there are over a million people that share the same birthday… but when that one person receives this card, they instantly know that the words on the front of the card makes them one in a million!  Stampin’ Up! thinks of everything from great coordinating inks and papers, to the awesome stamps with words that go together the way sugar makes kool-aid sweet.

This card went out to my sister-in-law, Melissa Mata.  If her name sounds familiar, she owns Perfection Fitness in Rancho Cucamanga, California.  Her popularity quadrupled after the show Extreme Maker:  Weight Loss Edition with Ashley Alise Johnson.  I am very proud of her success and her genuine desire to make people healthy.
