You’ve Got Me

You've Got Me

Ladies & Gentlemen you are now looking at the third card that will be made at my card class aka stamp camp on Aug. 24th.  I’m pretty excited about the class and to say I’m looking forward to it is an understatement!

If you live in my local area and want to join my card class next month read below and sign up.  I’m pretty much within driving distance from Fairfield, Vacaville, Suisun, Dixon, Davis, Vallejo, and only minutes from Travis Air Force Base.

The most exciting thing happening to me lately are the workshops that I’ll be leading in the next few months.  My goal is to get the Holiday catalog out to you and show you as many projects as I can, so you may be prepared for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I know that to some it may seem like you still have time, but face it…if you don’t start now, you’re gonna be sorry and in a mad rush.

Almost forgot, if you’d like to know more about setting up a workshop either in person or on-line send me an email (maggie@maggiemadecards.com) and I’ll work with you to get an awesome workshop set up.

Thank You Three Times

Thank You

In cleaning out my scraps from previous scrap pieces I found some Typeset Specialty DSP & basic black card stock and in Maggie fashion… I didn’t want to throw it out.  So, I took my Hexagon punch and went to town.

Since three is my favorite number I punched it three times and stamped it three times without reining the stamp.  Talk about a serious thank you. LOL

Hola Tarjeta Masculina

Hola/HiPara leer en español, haga clic en la bandera de España en el lado derecho.

I know that as card-makers we tend to make more girly/feminine type cards.  Guys are not into rhinestones, pearls, or ribbon, so we tend to shy away from making them until we absolutely need them.  In honor of all the men in our lives, I have started posting a masculine card at least once a week (if you haven’t noticed by now)… LOL.  You can find last weeks card here. Hola/Hi When designing a masculine card you do not need to continually utilize dark colors.  But you do need to throw in there the macho nacho feel.  Having been raised in a Latino household I know too well the machismo that comes with the male gender.  In all honesty, the Latin men in my life are macho nacho on the outside, but teddy bears on the inside… LOL.  Go on and don’t forget to add a pop of soft color to lighten up this perfect designer series paper for a personalized card for the men in your life. Hola/Hi I’m putting out a call out for local area (Solano County) interested crafters.  I’m offering FREE beginner card-making classes the first Thursday of every month.  But you must sign up here.  I want to ensure I have enough supplies ready for you to learn this fun hobby. You will leave with your own handmade card and will understand the simple creativity of paper crafting.  Learn the paper basics while having fun in a completely relaxed environment. I have set  new post Stampin’ Up! convention goals.  The first is to enter as many sketch challenges as I possibly can… and the second is to grow my Circle of Pals, and third develop easy to do card classes for hostess’.  Here’s my first goal, a Sketch brought to you by Freshly Made Sketches.

Just in case you are wondering… I made the banner with the Modern Label punch and used the Hexagon punch to punch out the points.  So much easier than eye-balling it with paper snips (scissors).
