Fresh Prints Valentine’s

Be My Valentine

A very clean and simple Valentine’s Day card that my son helped me put together.  I chose the real red card stock because that is his favorite color.  I wanted a little bit of dark pop and that’s why I chose the chevron ribbon.

What you don’t know is that today I had the stitches removed from the oral surgery I had last week.  It didn’t hurt much, it just felt like tiny pinches.  Even after the small discomfort I’m happy happy happy!

The braces are coming off in a few weeks and I couldn’t be happier! =)  My underbite will be fixed I will no longer break my two front teeth… LOL.  Then time for a new picture!  Yayyyy.

We Blend Well… Together

Valentine's Day

As I sit to write about today’s card I taste cinnamon with a bold rich taste of love.  =)  Yes, it’s simple black ink, but the real red card stock for the card base literally jumps out at you.  Why do I think that?  Because the base of the card is like the foundation it is strong and will endure the test of time when it’s blended.

We Blend1

This card is a unique 5-1/2″x5-1/2″ in size.  I made it this big because I’m going to demonstrate how to make your own envelope at a workshop using the Envelope Punch Board, which is one of my favorite tools Stampin’ Up! has made available to us.  You can see the how to use it video here.

Bee Mine

Valentine's DayI have seen many variations of this card, but the one is mine.  I have loved the nesting framelits we have and the hearts are my all time favorite.

The cut outs remind of the times when I was in grade school and I would hold a piece of paper in half and use my thumb as a guide to make a heart cut out.  Did you ever do that?

What a great memory… I’m just glad I can now use Stampin’ Up!’s heart framelits and get a perfect cut out each and every time! =)

Valentine's DayI performed just a wee bit of tape surgery on the bee to separate it from the word “mine.”  I do not own the Crushed Curry Stampin’ Marker, so I had to tape up the heart while stamping it with the ink pad.

The Real Red Stampin’ Marker was used to line in the heart.  Adding a rhinestone finished it off.  Quick and Easy card, yet classy and perfect for your perfect Valentine.

My Paper Pumpkin

I have already ordered My Paper Pumpkin for February and since I saw with my own eyes what the kit looks like I’m beyond excited to be getting it in the mail today.  I will put a least one card together and show it to you soon.

With a restful Sunday comes a crazy Monday… LOL.  But funny thing is, I’m looking forward to Monday for the first time in a VERY long time!  I had a fun filled weekend of crafting with a couple of my hobby-sharing friends.

I stepped out of my comfort zone this weekend and made a hanging piece of art… LoL.  I love the way it turned out too, so I’m going to put together a craft night with my friends and use the idea with our products.  See pictures below.

I had so much fun… I can’t believe I haven’t offered something similiar myself!

When card sketches inspire me, I find ways to think outside the box.  At my next workshop this card will be one of several showcase samples.

My goal is to always show workshop attendees various cards that can be used in a set.

The work shop’s main attraction was posted a couple of days ago, but you can see it again here.

Mojo Monday 329  helped me think outside the box and  I  love participating in sketches, so I’m going to challenge myself tis year and start drawing my own.

Stampin’ Up! a Valentine Bee

Valentine's Day

I CASE’d (copy & share everything) a card from a fellow Pal, Kindra Delaney (posted below).  I’m going to use it at a Valentine’s Day themed workshop.  I’m so excited I could barely contain myself.

Valentine's Day

The 30 tiny hearts were glued down with tiny dots, but you can use any adhesive that you like most.  Just make sure to lift up the edges after they have all been glue down.  It helps give them a 3-D effect.

Valentine's Day

This is the card Kindra gave us as her Pals Swap at Leadership.  I must say it is perfect for CASE’g and that is why I’m using the sketch for my card.

This Valentine card is dedicated to you, the Pretty Pals faithful blog hoppers who stop by every month and leave us lovely sweet comments on projects we create to inspire and share with you.

The supplies I used are my favorite for the month of February.  I have way too many favorite items, so many that I go by the month… LoL.  The heart was very simple to do using the largest heart from the Hearts Collection and it was just as easy to run Typeset Alphabet through the Big Shot.  I added two silver red hearts by punching them out from the Owl Punch.

I used the following products to make this sweet real red Valentine heart:

Sending Some Stampin’ Up! Love

Love is heard, seen, and felt. It is heard when kind words are spoken to complete strangers. A simple compliment or a hello will make a good day better.  Kind words of encouragement, a compliment, or a simple wave of the hand shows love for human kind.  It is seen with a hug, a blowing of a kiss, a pat on head, or a gesture of a thumbs up. Everyday we should strive to brighten someone’s day, even a stranger, your children, an aging parent, your spouse, or your co-workers.  It’s nice to hear the words, “Love You”, but a word said with love goes further than you think.  So, today and everyday, go ahead, give a stranger a thumbs up or a compliment (nice shoes, pretty dress, or your hair looks great!”).  Leave a comment and send some love my way… =)

If you haven’t downloaded the FREE 30-day trial of My Digital Studio… do it now! It’s absolutely FREE and you can play with it for 30 days. After 30 days it will prompt you to enter a registration number, if you don’t want it, un-install the program. But if you LOVE it… buy it.
