Mother’s Day Card with Spiral Flowers

Mother's Day

If you haven’t made your Mother’s Day cards this Rosette flower card is the easiest fastest card you can make!  It was so delightful to make it that I showed it to a friend at work and he asked if I could make him two!  I knew I could whip them out so fast, I agreed to make him the cards.

Mother's Day

I had some old flower tape lying around that I had received from a friend who was going to throw it away and I figured I’d use it someday and that someday came with this card.  I’m not a hoarder, but sometimes I keep things because they are practical and I will incorporate it into my craft.

I wrapped sucker sticks in the flower tape to make it look like stems.  If you don’t have any, just take some twigs from a tree in your neighbors yard…LOL.

Mother's Day

My only suggestion to anyone who hasn’t made their Mother’s Day cards… print this one out or forward it to the mom you had every intention of sending them a Mother’s Day card. =)  SHARE the love.

Feliz Dia De La Madre

Today I received my gorilla box with items like shampoo, hairspray, my blanket and pillow, and my Hello Kitty hamper.  It took two weeks and two days to arrive.  It’s amazing the simple things we take for granted.  In the box also came the last two things I was waiting on to start making cards.  Can you guess what just one of them is?

If you follow my Facebook page you can get a peak of what had arrived the first week.  Leave a comment below this post and enter to win some blog candy!  Yes, all the way from my deployed location.  You will receive bunches of my Designer Series Paper from the 2012 catalog.  Don’t have your new 2013-14 catalog yet?  Get one here.

For a chance to win it, I’m going to give you about a week to leave a comment and tell me the furthest place you’ve ever sent a card… from where you live.  =)

Dia de Madre3

I made this one and only card for my ama.  I am blessed and I am lucky.  Blessed because my mom is still with me and lucky because God could not have picked a better mom to loan me to.  My five brothers were a handful and I was her peaceful obedient child.  Don’t believe me… ask her!  LBMO.  Mi mama es la major mama en todo el mundo!

Earth Day Number Two

ACTIVITING THE PAPER PUMPKIN PLAYERS
Winner will be announced on or about April 15th (Don’t forget to mail your taxes).

Recycle Mom Day1

Hello there, if you are here looking for the Pals Blog Hop: Earth Day is Everyday, don’t worry you’ll find it on yesterday’s post… LoL.  These are more cards using recycled left over paper from other cards I’ve made.  I do not have the innate ability to color match, but after viewing all thepretty left over paper, I didn’t think it mattered.  The colors remind me of Spring and it has sprung… LoL.

I made my own mom a special Mother’s Day card that I will preview some time this week…. and I can’t wait to show it to you because like these cards…. I also used my stash of paper.  Do you keep your scarps of paper in a box all thrown together or neatly separated and labeled?  how do you think I keep mine?  Hmmm… maybe I’ll show you pictures next time too… LoL

Happy Mother's Day2

If you’re wondering about the crinkled leaves… I used a retired Stampin’ Up! product, a Crimper.  I folded the leaves in half length wise and pulled it through.  They give the leaves a beautiful embossed real leaf look… don’t you agree?

Pals Blog Hop: Earth Day is Every Day!

Thank you for joining us for the April Pals Blog Hop!  To celebrate Earth Day, the April blog hop  features new cards and projects that capture the essence of Earth Day through colors and images and/or use recycled or reused elements.  We hope you are ready for some fun and creative ideas. You should have just left stop number 24 on the Pals Hop – Rae Harper at Wild West Paper Arts.  If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

If you’ve ever stamped with me you know first hand that I do not throw any paper in the garbage!  Joy C., one of my Circle of Pals calls me the “Paper Police”.  She shakes and trembles (jokingly) when I catch her throwing even a 1×1″ piece of paper in the trash… LoL.  To make my card today I gathered all my used up scraps of card stock and designer series paper and used the Blossom Petals Punch (121808) to design the flower on the Mother’s Day card.

I made many more cards, but for the sake of keeping you moving along, I will post those other cards in the days to come, so come back now.

Left over scraps from various projects.

Stampin Up a Card Swap for Mother’s Day

The best thing I love about making a card is watching the recipient smile as they rip open the envelope.  Officially, English is my second language and believe me when I say that there are not enough words in the English language to tell you how EASY PEASY it is to make a handmade card.

You want to make your own card?  Card ingredients are below.  This card was made in under 15 minutes and was sent to a Stampin’ Up! card swap club I participate in once a month.  The swap is open to everyone and you can visit them on Facebook today… Click HERE.
