Christmas Cheer & Happy New Year

Christmas

This is my second set of mass produced Christmas cards and they were made during two lunch breaks.  That's how easy Stampin' Up! makes it with matching product.

The greatest thing about the matching product is they have all kinds of kits… see them here.

Thank You

This morning (12 hours ago, while you were sleeping) one of our young Airmen received news that he passed his test and will be promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.  It was the best news he has heard in a very long time.

I made him a “Congratulations” card, but I made it in such a hurry I failed to capture it for you.  Tomorrow I will ask him to share it with a picture of him and the card.

For now, you can marvel at this card I made for a customer who recently bought a retired stamp set from my store.  A few short moment ago I updated the stamps now available for sale.  Check them out here.

Thank You

My friend Lynn left me a comment yesterday and told me she has a terrible time with color coordination.  Well there is a fix to that!  The color coach helps people like me and Lynn who can’t seem to get colors in their right shades to match… LoL.

If I didn’t wear a uniform I probably would look a little dorky dressing myself… LoL.  I think I’ll just stick to green… LoL

Heart 4 U!

Do you ever run out of sketches or ideas for a card?  I know I do all the time… that is why I participate in as many card challenges as I possibly have time for.

You can check out all the challenges I have ever participated in here.

CAS-ual Fridays 110

This is the first time I’ve participated with Cas-ual Fridays and as always, each challenge helps hone my skills and get better each time.  I search out the Clean & Simple cards because I know that is more my style, but you don’t have to.

How do you find more?  Easy peasy, just Google: card sketch challenges.  Some have actual prizes, while others give you the right to a special very cool badge you can show off on your blog, but you don’t have to have one.

These two hearts are proof that you don’t have to be perfect either!  But nothing goes to waste and I feel it adds a little bit of character to the hearts.  So, don’t you worry your pretty little heart about something not coming-out perfect.

Every handmade gift is absolutely perfect!

Have you Ever Seen a Floating Window Framelit

My post Stampin’ Up! convention Floating Window Framelit card.  I didn’t realize how much I was going to love it until now… LoL.  I used two different size frames to cut out the patterns and I used the larger cut out for a different card and you can see it here.

I may have missed the convention in person, but my Pal, Barbara Chatzkel made sure I was there in spirit.  I felt as if I was really there each day of the fun.  My group posted every moment on our private Facebook page and I even had tears as the announcement were made of my fellow teammates as they won award after award.  I couldn’t be more proud to belong to a fabulous group of stampers.

She even made sure I made the video highlights and you can find Barbara and me at marker 1:30.
Thank You so much Barbara.  I am so ever grateful to call you a friend.

Something Worth Celebrating

There’s no excuse to forget another birthday when you’ve got this stamp set–complete with eight different birthday greetings!  There’s even a stamp that read… “I remembered and thought….” for when you forgot to put the card in the mail because… well, you forgot… LoL.  But they have other uses too for other occasions.  The possibility is endless!

It’s okay to forget, but if you do, don’t forget to put the cash in the card to make up for it… LoL.

I have set a new Stampin’ Up! (SU) goal while I’m deployed and here it goes…  I’m shy (not) and almost afraid to post it because I fear failure… ha!  I currently hold the SU “Supervisor” rank and I need to become Senior Supervisor to be able to attend the Leadership Conference in January 2014.

So, if you’re thinking of either getting a few supplies and/or getting your kit (bonus is becoming a Pal within My Circle of Pals… hehehe) please consider me… LoL.  I’m not begging, I’m just putting it out there… LoL (nervous laugh).

Today was just one of those regular ole’ Mondays where emails magically appeared by the dozen between Friday evening and Monday morning.  I’m the type of person who carries a book with a to-do list… hahaha.  If you haven’t guessed me right, my personality is a non-typical type A… LoL.

Do people seriously hang out at work or log into their email just to send me email?  Because I don’t… do you?  LoL.

Stampin’ Up! Perfect Pansies

PPA Pick

I used the Flower Shop to create these beautifully gorgeous perfect pansies! They are a beautiful addition to any project. The Flower Show Stamp Set coordinates with the Pansy Punch and once you try them… you are going to fall deeper in love with them.

Funny thing though… I’m not much of a flower girl, but this set I just had to have because you can get it as a bundle.  Check it out right here!

PPA164

This card is brought to you by Pals Paper Arts 164 Sketch Challenge.

[one-half-first]

To give the pansies a little pop, I simply used Stampin’ Dimensionals on two of the flowers. The dimensionals really give them that 3-D pop. They look absolutely fantabulous.

A couple of days ago, I shared how my sense of time was a bit off, but now I am back on track and boy did this week fly by!  I’m at the mid-way point of my tour and time is speeding back up again for me… yayyyyy.

However, there is one thing that has me going through various emotions this week. I’m missing out on Stampin’ Up!’s yearly convention in Salt Lake City, Utah.  It’s our 25th Silver Anniversary and from what I’m reading on Facebook, it’s a blast!  Everyone is receiving so many awesome goodies and I feel so left out.

But my Pals have pulled through form.  My Pals took a picture of me from my last deployment and have carried it around and taken pictures and shared it on our private Facebook page.  I feel so loved that they have taken time from their fun to honor me.

Here my picture is on a chair to honor me at the Convention.  Boy, do I feel so loved.
Here I am with Ronald McDonald.  Stampin’ Up! partners with Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) to bring comfort and creativity to the lives of Ronald McDonald House guests. Each year, thousands of families stay at more than 160 independently operated Ronald McDonald Houses in North America.  These Houses serve as temporary homes for the families of seriously ill children who are being treated in nearby hospitals.  See the special stamp here

Celebrating Today

As many of my daily bloggers know, I love entering card sketch challenges and this one comes to you by CFC109: Clean And Simple Creations with polka dots.  Would you say it qualifies as polka dots?  I guess it depends on how each individual translates it…. to me, they are dots… LoL.

How did I make these little circles?  Easy peasy, I used the circle from the Itty Pitty Punch Set and the 1/2″ circle punch to punch the card stock using the smaller circle first, then the larger one to create the ring.  I simply recycled the punched smaller circle to add to my design.

The stamp set is from Remembering Your Birthday and this is the bomb dignity of ALL birthday stamp sets.  You won’t need to buy any more… this is the Mercedes of Birthday sets!

There’s no excuse to forget another birthday when you’ve got this stamp set–complete with eight different birthday greetings!

Until the Next Post…

An Amazing Pals Paper Arts Challenge

I am very amazed at myself… no pun intended… LoL.  I had a vision for this card, but then it turned out completely different then my vision.  That happens to me a lot when I participate in the Pals Paper Arts 163 – A Rich and Regal Color Combination.  I think that’s why I enjoy the sketches more, but I need to get out of my comfort zone and participate in the color challenges too.

As I’ve mentioned it many times before I not a very crafty person, but Stampin’ Up! sure does make it look like I am.  That’s why I participate in many card sketch challenges.  However, once in a while I have a brain cell with enough originality that I can’t help myself.

I had planned on putting little blossoms all around the oval cut window, but obviously I changed my mind.  So now I have about 20 of these cute little blossoms that I’ll be using on a different card.

If you think you’re not crafty (like me), won’t you please join me and my Circle of Pals today.

Stampin’ Up! a Thank You

Have you ever been so thankful for something or someone that just saying “Thank You” doesn’t feel like enough?  That is exactly how I feel right now.  I have received so many emails and oodles of cards during my deployment that brighten up my day.  You will never know how you have made me feel.

But… the Lots of Thanks stamp set is perfect for showing how thankful you are!  =)  The stamp set has nine ways you can say “THANK YOU!”  It’s a definite must have right now.

If the shape of the sentiment looks odd… it is!  Why?  Because I performed a little bit of surgery… LoL.. I used the Chalk Talk framelit and simply cut it in half on both the white and basic gray.

Go on, don’t be afraid to experiment… after cutting out your design use your paper snips to clip and tuck a little here and there.  You’ll be amazed at what other shapes you can come up with.
