I know that as card-makers we tend to make more girly/feminine type cards. Guys are not into rhinestones, pearls, or ribbon, so we tend to shy away from making them until we absolutely need them. In honor of all the men in our lives, I have started posting a masculine card at least once a week (if you haven’t noticed by now)… LOL. You can find last weeks card here. 
When designing a masculine card you do not need to continually utilize dark colors. But you do need to throw in there the macho nacho feel. Having been raised in a Latino household I know too well the machismo that comes with the male gender. In all honesty, the Latin men in my life are macho nacho on the outside, but teddy bears on the inside… LOL.
