Stamp Ink Paper – Fall

Have you tried the Seasonal Layers thinlits?  All I can say is that for the first time using it, I’m in love and I don’t even know what I’m going to make next! HA! Does it look like a Fall card to you?  It does to me and isn’t that all that matters? LOL

Join us this week at Stamp Ink Paper and showcase your Fall themed cards.

The Details:

  • Tree Branch.  Many may think that the tree branch should be sideways but, guess what?  It’s not a branch in my eyes…it’s a really skinny tree and the leaves/flowers are falling off.  But yes, it can be used as a tree branch, a skinny tree branch (HA).
  • Make a Couple Pop.  To give the card a little pop, I added Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on’ to two of the flowers.  When I say that the photo truly doesn’t do the card justice, I really mean it.  Gosh, I wish I could send it to one of my visitors, just so you can see for yourself.
  • Paper Tree.  The thin tree was made with the thinlit as mentioned above and it wasn’t stamped, but cut with the Wood Textures Designer Series Pack.  All of the product used to make this card is listed below.  If it’s not there then you missed out because it’s either retired or no longer available.

Stamp, Ink, Paper: Color Challenge

Today’s Celebrate card is for the weekly Stamp Ink Paper color challenge.  This card will go into the #ImBringingBirthdaysBack 2017 stack.  However, I must admit…I’ve gotten a little behind.  So most of the cards, for February have become Belated Birthday cards.  Nevertheless, they will go out and for each card that is late I’m putting a little treat inside each card.

As I say each week, my Stamp Ink Paper teammates have a talent that is out of this world!  Their design can be duplicated and made your own.  You can also enter one of your cards and enjoy sharing your card with the world.

The Details:

  • Banner.  The CELEBRATE banner is not a die-cut, it’s a snip cut (LOL).  After it was stamped the scissors were used to create the banner.  I followed the curve of the letters and cut a V from corner to corner on each side.  It came out better than I thought it would.

Use Host Code above and receive a gift from me when you place an on-line order via my on-line store.  Do not use if your order is more than $150. You will receive additional Host Reward and you’ll automatically receive a gift from me.

FREE PRODUCT with PURCHASE.  For every $50 spent (before tax/shipping) you earn free Sale-a-bration items.  Click on each catalog to view either the Occasions catalog or the free items in Sale-a-bration.

Sunshine and Stamp Ink Paper #50

Now more than ever I try so hard to make sure I am kind to everyone.  When I cross paths with someone I don’t know I always make sure to say hello and find something to compliment them on.  Whether it be their shoes, hair, blouse, shirt, even their smile.  I do this because the world is awful and one kind word will go a long way.  I’ve decided, I’m going to start handing out my cards to complete strangers.  Inside there will be a short note for them to pay it forward and give the card to someone who can use a smile.  What would you do if it was you I handed this card to?

When I give this card out, I’ll be sure to let you know about the whole experience.  I’m so excited to find someone too!  I’m not sure how I’m going to approach the person, I’m just gonna do it!

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge

Maggie Made Tips:

  • Non-traditional Sun.  The challenge called for the sunset and my sun (burst is more like it) hasn’t set yet and that’s okay.  It’s all about what inspired me and the star-burst from Kinda Eclectic stamp set was the one for me.
  • Balance the Eye.  When I decide where and how to place an item on a card, whether it’s a stamped image or even an embellishment, I always try to eye-ball the card to see if it seems balanced.  I look at the card with one eye closed.  I’m not sure why I do that, but maybe it has something to do with my military training…LOL.  The eye-ball should have a focal point and to accomplish that goal I punched a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper with a 3/4″ Circle Punch.  Go on and close one eye and look at the card…doesn’t the gold glitter draw you in?

Stampin’ Up! Candy Cane Treats

A couple of months ago I pre-designed the sketch I would use for my personal Christmas cards.  They were clean and simple as that is my personality.  But low and behold…. I have yet to duplicate my personal cards I will send out in a week or so.  I bought the Chock-Full of Cheer stamp set and have fallen deep head over heals in love with the candy canes.  I cut them out with my scissors and I almost want to eat them.  LoL… What do you think?

I used the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper to add a little twinkle in front of the ebossed cirlces (that are supposed to represent snow) I have a weird imagination.  Since I’m entering this a sketch in the Paper Players Challenge #122 which requires the color silver, I used the Decorative Label Punch to cut out two pieces in the Silver Glimmer paper.  I love love love the sparkle!

I couldn’t help myself, so I also entered the card in the Sweet Shop #185 Challenge that required a sweet treat.  My favorite sweet treat in December are candy canes…. LoL.  Especially the tiny miniture one’s.  They fit in my mouth… LoL.  I have a big mouth!

Can Stampin’ Up! Make Some Freshly Made Snow?

Freshley made snow?  LoL… that’s the first thing I thought while putting this card together for Freshly Made Sketches #59… LoL.  What a perfect sketch to add to my Christmas card collection.  I will be sending my friends and family one of two sketches… the other one was previously published here.

I used the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper, and left over pieces of Basic Grey, Very Vanilla, and Riding Hood red.  The colors all blend together perfectly and beautifully.  A little bit of Chrochet Victoria lace ribbon, and large Pearl Basic Jewels pulled it all together.  I punched out two little blossoms from the Festival of Prints covered up with the Basic Grey cardstock.  The blossom is from the Itty Bitty punches collection.

Make a Wish with Freshly Made Sketches #40

WoW!  Can you believe I haven’t entered a card contest in some time!?  As always Freshly Made Sketches rocks.  I couldn’t believe it myself.  But now that my time is limited (just for a little while), here goes nothing… LoL.  Two more birthday’s cards to go and this will cover one of them.  Just in time to make a wish.

It’s amazing how these colors came together fabulously.  Then again, red is a color that screams “LOOK AT ME!”  Red will stop you in your tracks, make you want it, and your eyes will focus directly on it.  C’mon you can tell me… didn’t it make you look?

Gosh, I feel ashamed, I haven’t made a get well card in so long that I can’t even remember when I made one.  I suppose that’s a good thing right… no one has been ill enough to get one… =)  I also figured that since our new catalog will be coming out soon, and the retired list has posted, I want to make as many cards with my remaining retiring supplies.  You can get a great deal on the retiring stuff now while supplies last too!
