You Are Fabulous!

Fiber Lash Bag1

I absolutely love the Work of Art stamp set and I think it’s perfect when used to create a gift for a gift.  Did that make sense?  Often a handmade card is a gift in itself, but this gift bag was made for the purpose of giving a gift.  It’s become a 2 for 1 gift.

Fiber Lash Bag

MAGGIE MADE TIPS:

  • Measure twice and cut once.  It’s a carpenter’s saying, but it holds true to anyone who cuts anything.  The popular size to this cute little purse is 4″ x 4″, but it can be made to any size.  Measure the length, width, and depth and then just double it for each side.  The original video to the purse can be seen here, but remember you don’t have to use just one sheet of paper to make one.  You can’t see the seams and as long as you measure twice and cut once…it’ll come out perfect!
  • Make A Layer with the Note Tag Punch.  First punch out two pieces of the Note Tag Punch and adhere them both together to the desired size.  It coordinates perfect with the oval punch.  Try it next time you use the Work of Art stamp set.

Thanksgiving

Throughout my life my parents served as my guides, mentors, and teachers. I experienced life through their eyes with their lessons of love and thankfulness.

In my culture we did not grow up viewing the Thanksgiving holiday as a time where we sat around the table speaking out loud of what we where thankful for. It isn’t a negative experience, but now reflecting on what being thankful for really means, I am humbled to have parents who taught me the meaning of appreciation, gratefulness, and sincerity through their actions. To us, it was just a holiday and we didn’t have to go to school. LOL. I loved every minute of it.

For that, I give thanks.

Thanks2

I’ve had the Four Feathers stamp set and framelits since they were initially introduced (benefits of being a demo), but never used them until now. I absolutely love them because they can be used year round and not just in the Fall. Soon I’ll be making a few cards for my Air Force friends who have achieved the highest enlisted rank in the military (E-9) aka Chief Master Sergeant.

MAGGIE MADE THOUGHTS: Simple Suggestions I Use

  • Use White Stazon craft ink on dark card stock to add a boldness and a masculine feel to any card.
  • When in doubt just add any color ribbon to Burlap ribbon to give it dimension and texture at the same time. Genius!
  • For an antique look antique brushed brads work wonders!

Stampin’ Up! Product Recipe:

Stuffed with (Pals) Happiness

Grateful1

I don’t know about you, but this card has Fall Happiness written all over it!  The vibrant colors of the Color Me Autumn DSP are spot on for Thanksgiving/Fall cards.  I made this card as a swap for my Circle of Pals team’s get together and also entered it into the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 238.

SSSC238

The layout was a life-line for me because I had been so busy for the previous two weeks that I procrastinated until the morning of the get together to make the swap cards.  Thankfully it was only three cards.

Shari

Shari applied the coloring technique to the black and white feathers in our Back to Black DSP (133700).  It gives the paper an entire new dimension and pizzaz.

Theresa

Believe it or not, this little beauty is actually the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies from the Holiday Catalog.  It’s an envelope made for mini cards, gift cards, or stash a little cash inside of it.

Joy

Va-va-va-voom!  This precious rich razzleberry makes me crave plums…LOL.  Below are just a handful of my Pals and whether you want to hang with us as a hobby demonstrator you are more than welcomed to join my Pals on our next journey.  Read more about joining my team (I WANT YOU TO) even if it’s just to get a discount on fabulous product or to go for the gusto and make some extra cash.  A Circle of Pal member isn’t just a down-line member we are friends first, stampers second!

I do have one request…visit my Circle of Pals on their respective sites (Facebook or Instagram) and leave them comments about their beautiful cards…or just leave a comment for them below.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketch For You

Ladies & gents, boys & girls… I think I will start my countdown clock with this post!  NINETEEN days and a wake-up!  If you don't know what I'm talking about you'll have to rewind my posts and start reading here.

In the last 5.5 months I have literally received hundreds of emails, cards, and prayers from so many of you.    I've been deployed three times and this has been one of the best one's ever!

Why?  Because this is the first time I carried my hobby with me.  I said I was living proof that this hobby can be taken anywhere in the world… and YOU have faithfully me followed me.  A million Thank You's is never enough.

I'd also like to WELCOME to the Circle of Pals… Veva S., Jennifer G., and Shari A.  I am beyond excited to have you on my team!  The PALS is one of the BEST teams to be in with Stampin' Up! and the support is like no other!

FMS Final 107-001

This card is brought to you by Freshly Made Sketches 107.

Doesn't this stamped image look like a framelit label?  Well, don't let your eyes fool you.  It's a negative image…LOL.  I cut out the Chalk Talk Framelits label out of the Venetian Romance designer series paper and stamped the actual card base in Gold Emboss Powder.  It looks deceiving because I used Neutrals Candy Dots on the edges.  I absolutely LOVE IT!

At my fifth month point the Envelope Punch Board was revealed and I just had to get one… not because I wanted it, but because I NEEDED it… LOL.  Now, it has become an extension to each card that I make.  I love to give a card with a matching envelope.  Do you have your yet?

An Antique Heartfelt Exchange

A shout out to all my PRETTY PALS at convention this year in Salt Lake City, Utah!  Wish I could be there, but instead I participated on a one-for-one card exchange with us PRETTY PALS who watch from behind the screen.  Whoever got it… I hope you enjoy it.

I used Real Red for the card base and embossed the Very Vanilla with the embossed Square Lattice folder.  The Antique Brads added the finishing touches.  I wanted the Heartfelt stamp to stand out so I stamped it in Real Red ink and used the Apothecary accents to cut it out.  Leave a comment and let me know if you you like it?
