There are times when I sit at my craft table without a challenge sketch or even an idea of what I’m going to make. That’s when so much time is wasted and I get only one card done consuming many more hours that I don’t have. Do you ever feel this way?
However, I found a solution to assist with time management when in creation mode. At least for me, I have found through trial and error that if I have a sketch handy then it’s not just easier, but less time consuming to put a card together. So, what I do and what I recommend is that you make simple sketches on a piece of scratch paper or even a notebook small enough to carry in your back pocket, a purse, or a backpack.
Lesson Learned: When you’re at a loss for how to add dimension to a flat card choose a stamp that is simple in design and perform a little bit of fussy cutting. If the image has a pattern inside of it, like the starts on the boot, stamp the image on a different color and fussy cut those too. Adhere them to the image and you will have instant pop to an otherwise flat image.
