Stamp Ink Paper: Tic Tac Toe Easter

Today’s card is dedicated to God.  He gave me Life and a talent that I still critique more than anything.  I believe in practicing reflection often and not just once a year.  Today I think of all the wonderful friendships I have made simply because I love to stamp.  Creativity is a work in progress for many of us and the #1 way to push oneself to learn more is to participate in challenges.  Thank you so much for visiting today….now in time for Easter hop on over to the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #94 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

So go on and get your Easter Bunny on with us over at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge.

The Details:

  • Bunny.  Use a small oval punch or the smallest oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and cut one side straight across.  For the head, the smallest circle in the Layering Circle Framelits Dies would be perfect.  However, you can use any size oval and circle because you can make the bunny as large or small as you’d like.  I got the pink tail from a different project, which was purchased from one of the big box stores (they’re fairly cheap).
  • Crosses.  I stamped the Hardwood stamp with Soft Suede ink.  I then cut little tiny rectangular pieces to make the crosses.  They came out perfect!

To make my card for the hop, I broke out with some stamp sets that had a thick layer of dust on them (LOL).  No, seriously I can’t remember when the last time I used them.  Wait, I remember now, I used them this week to make my blog hop card.

Happy Easter

I haven’t used the Flower Shop stamp set or the Pansy Punch in quite a while and since the Spring reminds me of so many pretty flowers (along with my horrible allergies) I thought it would make the perfect Spring/Easter card.  Teeny Tiny Wishes has been my go-to sentiment since I became a demonstrator almost five years ago.  The Pansy’s were stamped on the free with purchase Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack.  It’s what gives it the shadow that comes through the paper.  I also punched the matching cardstock and layered it underneath the vellum to prevent the images from being washed out with the whisper white.  The card looked a little plain when I finished it, so I added some sequin from the 2013-2015 In-Color Assortment that is still available in the Clearance Rack…lucky you.  For a couple bucks, I’d grab a few because they’ll definitely last a very long time.  Come back in a couple days because I’ll be giving away TWO packs of the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stacks as blog candy.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Happy Easter Everybunny

Happy Easter 1

In honor of Easter Sunday, this is dedicated to you, my blog visitor.  May you be blessed because I believe He is Risen!

Last Friday, I was told I would be traveling to a very cold exotic location for six months.  Wow!  What a grand time that will be.  I don’t want to ruin the surprise, so if you want to learn about the cool things I get to do with my day job Follow My “deployed” Paper Journey.  Well, now it’s become a temporary duty assignment.  You military people know what I’m talking about and I can’t wait to share my cards from a thousand miles away.

Happy Easter 3

The only Easter stamp I own is the Everybunny stamp set.  It has eight images and they are adorable!  I had a day of crafting with a special 8 year old last weekend and she loved the set.  I do not make Easter cards often and I still don’t know why.  This was the only personal Easter card I made and only had you in mind.

Thinking of this one yearly card, I actually made only one Easter card last year too and I still have it.  There was a stamp set that is now retired that had a little bunny rabbit inside of a plant pot and I used that one as my main focus.  You can see it here.

Happy Easter 2

Until the next post…

A Very Bright Easter

One of my team members (Melanie Greenfield) once told me that her favorite color was green.  She said that green complimented all colors.  She was absolutely right!  Thanks Melanie for opening my eyes to color.  I LOVE the mix of these colors… they put me in a happy mood.  =)  The sentiment is in Spanish and translates to Happy Easter.

MaggieMade Tips:  A great way to spruce up a card without spending more money on ribbon is to simulate ribbon with a with paper.  I NEVER throw away any left over paper from a project for this specific reason.  I used a brown polka dotted paper to add a little extra slice of color between the pink lime green.   It somehow blends the two colors and give it an added “pop” to the card.

Blog Candy Give-a-Way:  Originally posted on April 1st, be ensured it was not an April Fools joke.  It is the “Sprinkled Expressions” clear cling stamp set from Sale-a-Bration. The clear-mount block is not included.  All you have to do is take a look at the new Summer Smooches and leave me a comment and tell me which products I should buy.  The winner will be chosen using the random number generator.  I really do want to give this awesome stamp set away…. will you help me?
